When it was initially opened in 1983, it started out essentially as a reproduction of Florida's Magic Kingdom. However, over the years, Tokyo Disneyland has expanded into the second most frequently visited amusement park in the world where it is second to only Magic Kingdom in Florida. There are also the two mini lands, that are made up of 'Critter Country' with its 'Splash Mountain' and the famous 'Mickey's Toontown'. The park is famous for its vast open areas that house the enormous crowds that the Tokyo Disneyland attracts daily.
